Appear for information following serious assault

Police in Bridgend are appealing for information following a
that occurred at 8:15am on Sunday 13th May 2012 at the Square, Pencoed.
A 51-year-old man sustained head injuries during the incident and was conveyed to the Princess of Wales Hospital, where he remains. His condition is described as serious but stable.
A 16-year-old male has been arrested and released on police bail in connection with the assault.
Police are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or anyone who may have further information.
Detective Inspector David Rees from Bridgend CID said: “I’d like to reassure the community that incidents of this nature are rare in Pencoed and a full police investigation is underway.
“We know there were a number of people nearby or passing by when the
happened. I ask anyone who saw the incident or anything leading up to the
to contact us. Any information, no matter how small, could play a vital role in our investigations.”
