Officers tribute to star athlete proves to be a global hit

A photograph from the Olympic Park featuring our officers doing a trademark Usain Bolt ‘lightning bolt’ pose has been viewed over 140,000 times after being posted up onto twitter by BBC Journalist Frank Keogh (@honestfrank).
Reporter Frank Keogh tweeted “public loved it and enjoyed the sense of humour”
The photograph has generated hundreds of positive comments and has been shared widely across the social media site twitter and on a facebook page called ‘This is Great Britain’.

Since the photograph was taken the Jamaican sprinter has gone onto win two gold medals at the London 2012 games. In fact South Wales Police have also been awarded a bronze medal in the Social Media Olympics by BBC Technology correspondent Rory Cellan-Jones (@BBCRoryCJ) in the category of best photo.
