South Wales Police at Merthyr are warning all residents to be alert; a team of three males were arrested in Merthyr Tydfil yesterday for carrying out minor gardening work on an elderly, vulnerable person’s garden.
The males charged three thousand two hundred pounds for the minor gardening work and encouraged the elderly lady to go to the bank and get the cash to pay for the job.
Police at Merthyr are asking family and friends to check on vulnerable and elderly persons to see if any of this type of work has been carried out and how they have paid the gardeners.
