Alltwen is a village situated in the area between Rhos and Pontardawe. There are 2 main roads which run through Alltwen, Graig Road which leads to Rhos and Ynysymond Road which leads to Glais. Alltwen has the population of approximately 2.333. There is a small Industrial Estate at the end of Lon Hir, a local grocery shop which is located on Alltwen Hill, 4 Public Houses, 2 parks, a Hairdressers, chapel and rugby playing fields. Alltwen has got a Primary School which is english speaking however the local children can go to Trebanos Welsh School as both Schools are associated with each other. There is a Community Centre where there are activities for the local community to use as well as a Church Hall.
