Llantwit Major ward covers
Llantwit Major or Llanilltud Fawr is a small town in the Vale of Glamorgan along the heritage coast.  The Llantwit Major Ward includes the villages of Llanmaes, St. Donats, Macross and Monknash. The Llantwit Major town centre consists of shops, hairdressers, beauty salons, pubs, restaurants and cafes and is steeped with history a far back as the 5th century.  There are many historic attractions to visit including churches, castles and houses.  The town is also known for its events such as Victorian Fair Day, Summer Sounds Music Festival and many other community and charity events. The Llantwit Major Neighbourhood Policing Team consists of PC Colin Malone and PCSO Matt Woodman.  We are here to engage with the community and deal with issues that are affecting your quality of life in the area in which you live. PACT Projects

To view information on a PACT Project click the link. The current PACT Projects are:

Parking Issues on Heol Ger-y-Felin
Vehicles are parking on the near side of the road leading into the estate adjacent to the entrance to the playing fields which are located to the rear of Heol Ger Y Felin. This is causing other vehicles entering the estate to overtake them on the wrong side of the road while travelling around a blind bend. This is occurring on weekends and when there are sports matches on the playing fields. Letters have been issued by Cllr Gwyn John to the football organisations requesting them to park elsewhere and walk a short distance to no avail, the letter from the Highways Dept explaining why they would not take any permanent measures in the area has not been accepted and so the residents decided that this should become the main priority for the Ward. Residents, police and Councillors are to work together to draft another letter to be distributed via the clubs. PC Malone to contact Traffic Management in order to reassess this issue.
Parking Issues Outside boverton Road Shops
People are parking on the single yellow line and double parking along the road, restricting the flow of traffic, blocking visibility on junctions and causing danger to pedestrians
