Llantwit Major or Llanilltud Fawr is a small town in the Vale of Glamorgan along the heritage coast. The Ward includes the villages of Llanmaes, St. Donats, Macross and Monknash. The Llantwit Major town centre consists of various shops, hairdressers, pubs, restaurants and cafes and is steeped with history as far back as the 5th century. There are many historic attractions to visit including churches, castles and houses. The town is also known for its events such as Victorian Fair Day, Summer Sounds Music Festival and many other community and charity events. The Neighbourhood Policing Team consists of PC Colin Malone, PCSO Mark Thomas and PCSO Serena James. - Speeding issues at Llanmaes Village, Boverton Road and Llanmaes Road.
- Ongoing issues of motor vehicles breaking the speed limits at various locations within Llantwit Major and causing concern to local residents. South Wales Police and the Vale of Glamorgan Council have both undertaken scoping exercises to assess the extent of the problem. Now awaiting the result of the Vale of Glamorgan Council assessment in order to see what traffic calming measures can be put in place.
